Scott McElhannon was born in Athens, Georgia and has lived in the area most of his life. After graduating the Transport Refrigeration program from Athens Technical College, he got his start in the HVAC industry working for Carrier Transicold South in Atlanta, GA where he performed warranty and service work on transport refrigeration units which included tractor trailer refrigeration, straight trucks, buses and even the terminal transit systems at the Atlanta Airport. Wanting to get closer to home, he went back to Athens Technical College and completed the Air Conditioning Technology course. After graduation Air Conditioner Technology, he worked installing HVAC equipment in new construction homes at Lake Oconee as well as Country Club of the South. He then came back to Athens and worked for a local company as an installation and service tech. After receiving his Conditioned Air License from the State of Georgia, seeing a need for an HVAC company that provides service at a time that is convenient for the customer, Scott opened Complete Comfort Services.
Complete Comfort Services is a full-service heating and air conditioning company providing sales, installation and service of all major brands of equipment as well as Indoor Air Quality Equipment and Zone Systems. It is Scott’s goal to provide the best service possible at a reasonable rate and at a time that is convenient for you so that you can save on reparis without compromising the quality of service. Providing service without charging overtime as late at 9 PMi is only one example of his dedication of truly serving the customer’s needs. Scott is involved in all aspects of the business. On any given day he may help to answer the phone, give technical advice, give equipment replacement quotes, make sales calls to the customer’s house, help install a unit, do a service call on a customer’s unit and inspect other worker’s job performance for quality control. While enjoying his work, he truly enjoys the customers he meets and thinks of each customer as a personal friend.
Before starting Complete Comfort Services, Scott served as the president of the Athens chapter of RSES (Refrigeration Service Engineer Society) for two years and is still an active member. RSES has over 20,000 members in 50 countries and provides advanced training through certified classes and seminars to service personnel in the HVAC and Refrigeration field.
He is also an active member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers). ASHRAE is the world’s foremost technical society in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and is committed to the advancement of the arts and sciences of HVAC/R for the benefit of society through research, technology development, and transfer, education and training.
Scott is NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certified, factory trained, and committed to continued education and training in the HVAC field so that he can provide the customers of Complete Comfort Services with the quality of service that they expect and deserve.
